YMCA Cheer Camp registration is now open

The Henry County YMCA is offering a Summer Cheer Camp Program.

“The YMCA strives to provide programs that will nurture the potential of every child in our community,” states Cheryl York, Director of Member Relations of the Henry County YMCA.

Summer Cheer Camp is for kids aged kindergarten through 5th grade. The next Cheer Camp is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 22 and will run daily through Friday, July 26. Classes will be held from 10 am – 1 pm. All classes will be with YMCA instructor Lisa Tutrow. The cost is $130 for YMCA Members or $150 for non-members. The YMCA will provide shirts. All participants will provide their own black shorts and tennis shoes. Parents will be asked to provide a group snack or group drink for one day of the practice.

We are unable to assist your child with changing into swimwear. If parents do not want their child to swim, the child can be picked up at noon. Classes will be held in Studio A & B in the YMCA. Space is limited to 15 participants.

York expressed, “YMCA cheer camps are the perfect way for our youth to learn values and life skills, while also expressing their artistic side.”

The YMCA is located at 300 Wittenbraker Avenue, New Castle, IN 47362. Any questions can be directed to Cheryl York (CYork@HenryCountyYMCA.org) or by visiting the front desk at the YMCA.
