You can make a difference in your community.
The Henry County YMCA is launching its annual fundraising campaign this month to help ensure that everyone in the Henry County area has access to vital community programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Every day, the Henry County YMCA works to support the people who need it most by addressing community issues, such as diabetes prevention, school readiness, and summer child care.
“Throughout Henry County, countless people know and depend on the Y, but we’re so much more than many people realize,” said Chris Williams, CEO, Henry County YMCA. “In addition to being the place children learn to swim or adults go for their daily workout, we’re also constantly responding to the needs of our community. We’re dedicated to nurturing the potential of every person—all to create a better us.”
This year, the Henry County YMCA hopes to raise $50,000. These funds do not go toward the operation of the Y, but to ensure that each child has the opportunity to have swim lessons, play a sport, or attend day camp. The campaign also helps to support the Y’s evidence-based health initiatives such as the LIVESTRONG program for cancer survivors.
The theme for this campaign is “For A Better Us.” Participants are encouraged not just to donate, but to share about the impact the YMCA has had in their own lives.
How can you get involved?

Thousands of people each month are in the court area for games, fitness classes, and more. Banner sponsorships are $2,500, $1,000, $500 or $250.
