Henry County YMCA Hosts Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K Race
The Henry County YMCA is hosting the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K. The Turkey Trot 5K is open to both Members and Program Participants. The route will accommodate families, strollers, and leashed dogs and will be open to runners and walkers. The route will begin and end at the YMCA.
“The Turkey Trot is a great way to begin holiday celebrations with family and friends,” shared Kelsay Smith, Program Director at the Henry County YMCA. “It’s a fun tradition for many in our community and we are glad to be able to offer it again this year.”
The Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K will take place on Thursday, November 23. Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m., with the race starting at 8 a.m. at the Henry County YMCA. The first 50 registrations will receive a participation medal. A light snack and water will be available along with a choice of apple cider or hot chocolate.
Early registration is available until Monday, November 20. Adults are $20. Children 12 and under $12. Children under 2 are free. Families up to 5 members can register for $45.
Late registration will be available after November 21. A late fee will apply.

The Henry County YMCA is a non-profit organization that creates connections and strengthens the foundations of our community. 100% of the proceeds from the Turkey Trot 5K support the YMCA’s Annual Campaign, giving members of our community financial assistance opportunities when they participate in programs at the YMCA. These programs include preschool, swim lessons, summer day camp, and YMCA memberships.
