Simply Servants

Social responsibility starts with YOU!

Inspired by Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 20:16, “So those who are last now will be first then, and those who are first will be last,” Simply Servants are dedicated to fostering community involvement and social responsibility.

Open to both YMCA members and non-members, this program will empower girls aged 8-12 to make a positive impact on their community.

Lead by YMCA Instructor, Lacy Tutrow, Simply Servants will meet twice a month, with times and locations varying based on the chosen service project. The first meeting of Simply Servants will be on September 3 at 4:30 pm at the YMCA. Participants can join at any time and will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on community service activities.

“I believe in the power of sharing my faith and inspiring young girls to serve others,” shared Tutrow. “Through Simply Servants, we hope to instill a life-long commitment to helping those in need while creating lasting friendships.”

Tutrow envisions Simply Servants as a platform for young girls to discover their potential and make a difference.

Tutrow expressed, “Simply Servants will help participants to see the value in helping others. I can’t wait to see all that they accomplish through this program.”

The YMCA is located at 300 Wittenbraker Avenue, New Castle, IN 47362. Any questions can be directed to Lacy Tutrow (ltutrow@henrycountyymca.org) or by visiting the front desk at the YMCA.
