Try the Y Preschool On April 19

The Henry County YMCA Preschool will host a “Try the Y Preschool” event at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 19, in the preschool room at the YMCA.

The Henry County YMCA Preschool will host a “Try the Y Preschool” event at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 19, in the preschool room at the YMCA. Parents and children eligible for preschool in the fall of 2019 are invited to attend this free event.

Participants will enjoy a craft and story and learn more about the preschool program at the YMCA. The event is free, but registration is requested by leaving a name, email, and phone number along with the number of attendees at aburcham@henrycountyymca.org.

The YMCA offers two preschool classes, with morning and afternoon classes available for each. The Scamper Class is for ages 3-4 and Kinder Class is for those who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2020.

In both of these classes, children will learn social-emotional skills, cognitive and problem-solving skills, large and small motor skills, language and communication, early literacy, and self-help skills.Additionally, preschoolers will receive weekly swim lessons and regular active play time.
