Swimming at the YMCA is all about building confidence as participants develop skills. Our program is student-centered and includes five main learning components:
Class levels are based on age and ability of the participant. All swimmers learn at their own pace. A swim student is advanced to the next level only when he or she can proficiently and safely perform the skills within his or her level. If the participant does not complete all the skills within his or her level during any one session they will continue in the same level until they are able to master the skills. Swim instructors will use an individualized approach to create a fun and unique experience for every student.
Summer swim sessions give participants the chance to learn skills in a week-long session.
This summer's sessions:
June 18-22 and July 9-13
Fees (for each week): Members= $50, Program Participants= $75
