Medium-intensity water exercise class for active older adults, but all are welcome! We have lots of fun and shallow water moves help improve agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability required. Class starts with warm-up which brings your heart rate up. Although your heart rate won't increase much as land based aerobics, your heart will work just as hard and will actually pump more blood to the heart. We use water dumbbell, noodles or just our limbs for strength-training exercises. Moving your body through the water creates resistance which increases range of motion, balance, flexibility, and strengthening. When you finish your class you will have a complete body workout.
