Preschool

Our school is a child–size world. The children thrive in this world which is created to fit his or her age, size, interests, and needs. The foundation of this world are experienced teachers whom help your child see themselves unique individuals. Through this approach your child will be equipped to organize their ideas and learn language, problem solving, active learning, and organization tools that will make future classroom and school experiences positive and beneficial.

Preschool Swimming Program

During the course of preschool, we will be teaching our child about water and water safety. The swimming class is taught by a trained YMCA instructor. A swimsuit, towel and swim bag (large enough to put your child's clothes in when they change for swimming) must be brought to class each day. Scamper class swim day is Tuesday and Kinder class swim day is Monday or Wednesday.

It's not unusual for a child to shy away from swimming. With your help we will help them overcome those fears.

Kinder Class-Classes begin September 7

∗Must be able to take care of own personal hygiene. No diapers or training diapers (i.e. Pull-ups) allowed.

∗∗Per semester payments must be paid in full at the time of registration. To receive member rates, you must have a family membership. Payments are due by the 7th of each month. Late payments are assessed a $10 fee. Payments can be mad EFT from a checking account or from debit and credit card automatic monthly withdrawal.

April Burcham Kinder class teacher

This is April's second year teaching the Kinder Class. She lives here in New Castle with her husband Zach and their three cats. April has worked with children for the last nine years and is currently working on her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development from Ivy-Tech State College. Her goal as a preschool teacher is to help your child learn in a fun, positive, and educational environment.

Connie Criswell Scamper class teacher

Connie is in her 4th year teaching the Scamper class. She lives in Mooreland with her husband and their daughter brittany. She has worked with children for 8 years and the Child Development Accreditation (CDA) from Ivy-Tech State College where she plans to continue her early childhood education. As a preschool teacher it her goal to help children develop their skills mentally, social, and physically and to always have fun while learning.
